MONTHLY CHARGE:
At any point the student may choose to purchase the instrument by paying the
buyout price. One-half of the rent paid may also be applied to the
purchase of a “step-up” instrument.
One-half
of the rent (i.e. $13.42/month) is applicable to the purchase of the instrument,
so in Month 2 the buyout for this outfit is $ 308.58. In Month 3 the buyout is
$295.16, and so on.
PAYMENT:
Rental fees shall be payable monthly, in advance of each month. Payment will be
made by automatically charging credit or debit card listed below. It is the
Customer’s responsibility to inform
Renaissance Institute of Music of any changes to credit or debit card
numbers or expiration dates before payment is due.
TERMINATION:
Contract is terminated upon satisfactory return of all items on rental contract
and payment of past due rent and damage fees or deductibles.
INSTRUMENT REPAIR AND
MAINTENANCE:
RENAISSANCE INSTITUTE OF MUSIC must perform all repair or maintenance to items
listed on this contract.
DAMAGE, LOSS:
Parties listed as “Customer” are responsible for all damage to, or loss of,
items on this contract. The rental fee includes an Accidental Damage plan.
Maintenance is covered at no change. Normal wear and tear is covered at no
charge. Damage requiring a repair will be changed at our normal rates, limited
to a maximum charge of $100.00 per incident for violins and viola outfits, and
$250 for cello outfits. In the case of a total loss, the Customer is
responsible for the replacement price of the outfit as shown of the contract,
less 50% of the rental charges already paid.
PURCHASE DISCOUNT:
In the event the Customer shall buy from RENAISSANCE INSTITUTE OF MUSIC any
instrument of equal or greater value than the rental instrument, while this
rental contract is in good standing, there shall be applied upon the purchase
price thereof a credit of 50% of the rental changes already paid, not to exceed
the purchase price of the new instrument.
